Since the banning of spitting
In the workplace
Bands of spitters now congregate
In laneways and outside
The entrances of buildings
Once shunned for their filthy habits
Of spitting surreptitiously into coffee cups
Or retreating to restrooms to expectorate
They now decorate the pavements
With wet foamy shows of solidarity
Community
Happy
It's mooted that nose-pickers
Will be next
