Generation gap

You are so selfish mum!
You know
It's people like you...

Today the fight is over
Keep-cup and styrofoam
And the steady strangle
Of waste

You're killing the world mum
Don't you care about your children?

Mother rolls her eyes
Sighs in Father's direction
Eighteen years of
This slow compression
And they know what each other is thinking
Daughter has forgotten
Her anti-anxiety
Medication again today
